Volunteer
Volunteer Opportunities for BODY WORLDS:
- Medical Professional - Professional volunteers must have passed at least one course in human anatomy and be confident in responding to questions about a touchable, cross-sectioned plastinate. An email with the complete job description will be sent upon receipt of a potential volunteer's name, phone and email address to volunteeroffice@mpm.edu
- Non-Medical Volunteer - Non-professional volunteers will staff a BODY WORLDS Information Station in effort to engage visitors in converation and disseminate medical information. Volunteers will learn the basic anatomy and background needed to talk about a skeleton, skull, heart/lung model, Chinese doctor's doll, grasshopper embedded in acrylic and several charts.
- Non-medical volunteers who prefer not to learn anatomy can staff MPM's general Information Desk. These volunteers will be instrumental in responding to questions and helping direct visitors to the second floor.
Training and an orientation for volunteer positions will take place on March 8 (9am-noon) and April 5 (1-4p.m.).
