Conservation
Items in the Museum collections are conserved so that they can be accessible, exhibited and studied safely.
Conservators provide collection items with appropriate storage and display conditions to minimize deterioration, maximizing the display quality and longevity of the items.
Some items need to be cleaned, reconstructed, restored and/or stabilized. Further study of items can be performed to identify and control the causes of deterioration and to develop new conservation techniques.
