Museum on the Move School Outreach Programs – Let the Museum Come to You!

Milwaukee Public Museum educators can travel to your school to give exciting presentations and programs tailored to your age group. Programs provide hands-on interactive experiences incorporating objects and specimens.

Museum on the Move programs last one hour and are available for grades 1-6. Each program can accommodate up to 30 students.

Cost: $200 for the first program; $75 for each additional program scheduled on the same date at the same location. There is an additional charge for visits outside of Milwaukee County. High Interest Day discounts are available.

Art and Architecture of Ancient Egypt – NEW!
Examine the structure and design of the great pyramids. Look into the heart of an Egyptian temple and discover the principle of symmetry in ancient Egyptian architecture. Work in teams to raise a model obelisk, discuss the “Canon of Proportions” and explore the basic foundations of the art of this fascinating ancient culture.

Discover Dinosaurs
Go back in time to more than 65 million years ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Examine dinosaur bones, handle real fossils, and learn about the role of a paleontologist through this interactive program.

Insects and Bugs ALIVE!
Crawl into the world of some of the oldest living creatures on earth. Hold live insects in the palm of your hand as we discuss habitats, characteristics and the role that insects play in our environment.

Mummy Secrets Unwrapped
Unwrap the secrets of mummification, find out why it was so important in ancient Egypt, and become an attendant as you help adorn and wrap a model mummy.
