- Explore cultures from around the globe as you: listen to stories, take a self-guided discovery hunt through the exhibit, learn about real artifacts, listen to music and more! Celebrations of Culture events take place on select Fridays and Saturdays.

- Collectors Day
- From Pez candy dispensers to a collection of American flags, MPM’s Collectors Day provides an opportunity for avid collectors from around the state to exhibit unique collections of artifacts, specimens and memorabilia in a museum setting.

- 12th Annual Food & Froth Fest
- No food or drink in the exhibit halls? Not on this night! Sip stout in the Streets of Old Milwaukee, devour hors d'ouevres with the dinosaurs and rhumba in the rainforest during the 12th Annual Food & Froth Fest.

- Holiday Events at MPM
- Celebrate the holidays with a host of great events at the Museum. Take a journey on the Polar Express, watch the Lighting of the Whale, or hear the story of the famous Christmas Tree Ship.

Museum Lectures

- Luncheon Lecture Series
- Learn over lunch during our fascinating lecture series featuring topics ranging from Peregrine Falcons to the Underground Railroad. Luncheon Lectures begin with an optional docent-guided tour of the Museum to enhance the topic of the day.

- Winter Camps
- Spend a day traveling the arctic, marching with Dr. King for Civil Rights, or exploring the science of mummies!

- Museum Overnights
- During our exciting sleepovers, brave youngsters will explore the Museum through specially planned, staff-led activities, and attend a special IMAX® or Planetarium show. For scout groups and families with children ages 6-12. Overnights begin at 7pm on Friday evening and last until 8am the following morning.

- Museum Storytelling
- Join Museum educators as they bring exhibits alive through legends, myths and other tales of different cultures. Museum Storytelling takes place on the first Friday of every month (unless otherwise noted) from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. FREE with admission.

- This year marks the 125th anniversary of the opening of the Milwaukee Public Museum in 1884. To celebrate this milestone, the Museum will be offering programs and special events throughout the year that focus on our 125 years of shared history.
