Museum Class Research Project Week

Museum Class Research Project Week

May 6 - 9

Local schoolchildren will experience the thrill of being curators-for-a-day as they exhibit their class research projects at the MPM. The culmination of the MCRP program, participating schools are each given a day during Museum Class Research Project Week to display their exhibits to the public.

Funded by the Richard and Ethel Herzfeld Foundation, MCRP provides students with an opportunity to research and develop their own museum exhibits. Students choose a topic that is supported by MPM exhibits and spend the spring semester developing their projects under the supervision of school faculty and MPM Educator Richard Hedderman.

Museum Class Research Project Week 2008 will extend from Tuesday, May 6 through Friday, May 9. One school will present their project in the museum per day (two on Friday), and students will be on hand to interpret their work for visitors.

All presentations will take place on the first floor from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
