Wisconsin Museums Week

The Milwaukee Public Museum will be celebrating Wisconsin Museums Week from May 10 - 18, an eight-day affair leading up to International Museum Day on Sunday, May 18. The theme of this year's festivities is "Museums as agents for social change and development."
Highlights of the week include:
- A chance for visitors to enter into a drawing for MPM Membership giveaways
- Free admission for international visitors with ID
- Free "Clue Crew Case Sheets" for children ages 6-12
Daily highlights include:
Monday, May 12- Behind the Scenes tours at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours begin at the Museum information desk.
- Luncheon Lecture: Traveling to Japan with MPM's Friendship Doll. Reservations required.
- International lunch specials in the Café Costa Rica.
- International lunch specials in the Café Costa Rica.
- Storytelling: Miss Ibaraki's Story 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 1st floor.
- Free Museum stickers distributed by Smedley the dinosaur. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on the ground floor.
- International lunch specials in the Café Costa Rica.
- International "Wear Purple For Peace Day" - A free pass for an MPM Planetarium show will be distributed to those wearing purple. While supplies last.
- Opening of the Wisconsin Archaeology exhibit, 2nd floor.
- Ten percent discount on select items in the museum shop.
