2010 Bloom
A rare titan arum Amorphophallus titanum plant, also commonly known as "corpse flower," recently flowered in our butterfly vivarium. The slow blooming process began at approximately 3:30pm on Friday, January 15.
Growth Chart
The shoot emerged from the soil on December 14, 2009. On January 4th, at 40 inches tall, we were able to tell it was a flower.
