Special Needs
The Milwaukee Public Museum and the IMAX /Planetarium are accessible to those using wheelchairs or with limited mobility. Wheelchairs are complimentary to adult groups.

Complimentary Ticket Policy
One complimentary ticket is provided for every 15 paid guests. For motor coach groups, one complimentary ticket will be given to the driver.

Parking
Metered street parking is available throughout the area Monday-Friday. On Saturday, street parking is free with a 2-hour limit. On Sunday, street parking is free. Hourly and daily car parking is available at the MacArthur Square parking structure located on James Lovell Street between Wells and State Streets (fees apply). Handicapped-accessible vans should use street parking, or the street-level lots near James Lovell Street and Wisconsin Avenue or 8th Street and Wisconsin Avenue.

Drop Off/Pick Up
Motor coach drop off is available on Wells Street. Motor coach parking is available along the lakefront. Groups may enter via the museum atrium doors. Pick up is available on James Lovell Street, near the theater entrance.

Gift Shop
Located on the ground level of the museum, the Museum Marketplace shop features unique gifts and souvenirs gathered from around the world. Hours: Monday - Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Places to Eat
The Musem Café offers a casual, contemporary menu, including salads, pizza, soups and grill items. The Starbucks kiosk offers an assortment of baked goods, coffee drinks and other beverages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an additional charge for the Butterfly exhibit?
No. The Butterfly Viviarium, located on the 1st Floor, is a permanent exhibit and included in the Museum admission.

What is considered a "group"?
Discounted group rates begin at 15 or more paying guests. For every group of 15 or more, one complimentary Museum, IMAX® and/or Planetarium ticket is given.

Are the IMAX theater and Planetarium located near the Museum?
The Humphrey IMAX Dome Theater and the Daniel M. Soref Planetarium are located within the Museum Center. Tickets for the Theater can be purchased alone or in conjunction with a package.

Is there motor coach parking?
On-site parking is not available for motor coaches at the Museum. We have a convenient drop-off and loading area on North James Lovell Street. Visitors can disembark steps away from the Museum entrance. Motor coaches can park along Lincoln Memorial Drive for free. Seasonal rest rooms are available in the Bradley Pavilion.

Is there an additional admission charge for special exhibits?
Some of the special exhibits will have an additional admission charge. Groups of 15 or more will receive discounted rates. Click here for a list our current/future special exhibits.

How do I make a reservation for my group?
To make a reservation to the Milwaukee Public Museum please contact the Reservations Department at (414) 278-2728 or (888) 700-9069 (toll free).

Is a confirmation sent? Is a deposit required? When is final payment due?
You will receive a confirmation number from the reservationists at the time of your booking. A confirmation letter will be mailed within 2 business days. Full payment and final numbers are due 2 weeks prior to your visit.

Where is the group entrance?
If coming by motor coach please instruct the driver to disembark/load your guests at the James Lovell Street Entrance.

If your group members are coming individually, we ask that the individuals please meet at the Group Check-in Window located in the main concourse.

Do I need to go to the ticket window to check in?
Yes. Your prepaid tickets and wristbands will be available upon arrival. Please have the group leader check in with your confirmation number at the Group Check-in Window.
