Expedition MPM

Join us for a unique experience in Gromme Hall. These interactive, inquiry-based programs use guided presentations facilitated by museum experts to enable students’ use of critical thinking. Educators share little-known facts and “secrets” of artifacts within MPM’s collections, connecting them to the people, places and issues of today. Following the program we provide materials that support an open inquiry activity for select areas on the exhibit floors.

Programs can be “Teacher’s Choice.” With a reservation of 25 students, teachers can choose which program they’d like presented.

Requirements:

  • minimum of 25 students per program – program may be shared with other groups, smaller groups can choose to join a “Teacher’s Choice” group that is already scheduled
  • pre-registration and adherence to chaperone policy required

Age groups: Grades 3-8
Lesson Guides: Click on each topic title to open a printable lesson guide.
Cost: $3 in addition to Museum admission
