Ice Worlds allows audiences to appreciate the delicate balance between ice, water and the existence of life, which has been a topic of exploration and discovery in science for generations. Travel to the Arctic and Antarctic to examine the ecosystems that live and thrive in that region, and see how their survival is connected with our own. Next, travel beyond Earth, where you'll see how the existence of ice shapes the landscape and the natural systems on other planets and moons in our solar system. Ice Worlds finishes with the MPM-produced The Pluto Story, a look at the popular ex-planet.
Ice Worlds is narrated by Emily Watson, star of The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep. Evans and Sutherland Digital Theater produced Ice Worlds in cooperation with the University of New Hampshire, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and with the support of the National Science Foundation.
