The Milwaukee Public Museum is located in downtown Milwaukee at 800 W. Wells St. The Center is at the intersection of Wells and James Lovell Streets (formerly 7th Street).
Parking and Entrances
Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your exhibit entry time in order to allow yourself sufficient time to park and pick up tickets.
There are metered spaces available on most downtown streets. Meters are free on Sundays and holidays. Meters are free on Saturdays with a 2 hour limit. There are several municipal lots nearby. The MacArthur Square Parking structure is located behind the Museum Complex and is accessible via James Lovell Street. The structure includes an enclosed entrance to the Museum on the ground level. The Museum provides drop-off access for handicapped visitors on the east side of the building. Visitors with special access needs may also call (414) 223-4676 for more information.

Access by Milwaukee County Transit System
The Museum is at the intersection of West Wells Street and North James Lovell Street (7th Street). Several buses also stop a block or two from the Museum on Wisconsin Avenue, which is a block south of West Wells Street. If riding on Wisconsin Avenue, get off at the stop nearest North James Lovell Street (7th Street). Access by Wisconsin Coach Lines from Waukesha
