The Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) has been collecting, researching, and interpreting the natural and cultural world for nearly 140 years and is the most-visited museum in Wisconsin.
MPM is a critical asset to Wisconsin’s scientific, cultural, and educational communities. On an annual basis, MPM attracts 550,000+ visitors from every county in Wisconsin, nearly every state in the U.S., and many countries around the world. Because MPM is one of Wisconsin’s most-treasured cultural assets, we have the responsibility and the opportunity to ensure that the Museum and its collections remain a source and a place of inspiration for generations to come.
We are at a monumental point in our state’s and city’s history. With the support of you, our community, and many others, we have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform the Milwaukee Public Museum into the most inspiring, engaging, and relevant museum for tomorrow’s Wisconsin and tomorrow’s world, where every visitor is at the center of the conversations and activities that matter most to our future.
We’re just getting started, and we invite you to come along with us on this exciting journey.
