MILWAUKEE PUBLIC MUSEUM ANNOUNCES OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVES FOR FUTURE MUSEUM CONSTRUCTION

Wisconsin-based MC Group, with partners Capital Projects and Emem Group, will assist the Museum in overseeing construction budgets and schedule and project coordination

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) has signed Wisconsin-based MC Group, LLC as the owner’s representative for the development of the Future Museum. MC Group, along with Emem Group and Capital Projects, will provide construction consulting services for the Museum.

“Signing an owner’s representative brings expert oversight to the Future Museum construction process to ensure we remain on budget and on schedule as we deliver on our vision to bring this once-in-a-generation new Museum to our community,” said Katie Sanders, Chief Planning Officer at MPM. “We’re excited to move forward with our partners at MC Group, whose past projects include work on Froedtert Hospital at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, and whose Wisconsin and Milwaukee roots will provide valuable perspective on a project that will honor the city and state.”

The owner’s representative team will work closely with MPM, Future Museum architecture firms Ennead and Kahler Slater, exhibit designers Thinc Design and contractors at Mortenson and ALLCON to ensure the project follows the outlined schedule and budget and will support the Museum with permitting, consultant selection and onboarding, budget, schedule and compliance.

“MC Group is both honored and thrilled to be part of the dynamic and talented team that is forming the future for the Milwaukee Public Museum,” said Angela Brzowski, Partner, MC Group. “We have custom-built our MC Group team and approach to fit the needs of this iconic project and assure that the vision of the Future Museum is achieved. Serving our community through this project—which will be enjoyed by many, near and far, for current and future generations—is an honor.”

“The Future Museum is one of the most culturally significant projects to be developed in our region. It will be a place where everyone can learn and create memories for generations to come,” said Michael Emem, President & CEO, Emem Group. “Emem Group is honored with the opportunity to contribute to developing this beloved institution.”

Selection of an owner’s representative is the most recent milestone in what is a carefully crafted, long-term plan to bring the Future Museum to life. MC Group and its partners have started their consulting work for the Future Museum, which is scheduled to open in 2026. The Milwaukee Public Museum’s current home will remain open until the new space is finished. Learn more about the Future Museum at www.mpm.edu/future.
