Do you want to inspire Milwaukee’s community through your love of art, science, history, or culture?
If so, you could be a perfect candidate for the MPM Docent Training program!
Milwaukee Public Museum docents are highly trained exhibit “experts.” This group leads both school and public tours, provides “drop-in” presentations to visitors, and participates in docent-exclusive events like Streets Alive! In addition, this close-knit group holds monthly meetings with guest speakers, goes on an annual field trip, and participates in professional-development classes.
Docent Training takes place in seven half-day sessions the second Saturday of the month, September-March. Training for 2021-22 is dependent on enrollment and current COVID measures; training may be postponed until it is safe to hold in-person classes.
