Reciprocal Admission Benefits

MPM members enjoy reciprocal admission benefits at museums around the world. The Milwaukee Public Museum participates in two reciprocal networks: 

  • ASTC Travel Passport Program
  • ROAM (Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums)
ASTC Travel Passport Program

The Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) Travel Passport Program provides reciprocal admission benefits at 300+ museums and science centers worldwide.

Through the ASTC Travel Passport program, you’ll receive

  • Free or discounted admission at participating venues

Regional Restrictions

  • Many Wisconsin museums enforce a residency rule. If you live closer to those museums than MPM, please call ahead to confirm your benefits with them.
  • MPM members do not receive reciprocity at Betty Brinn Children's Museum (Milwaukee), Discovery World (Milwaukee), or Oshkosh Public Museum (Oshkosh).
  • Reciprocity at the Madison Children's Museum (Madison) is limited to Family level and above.
  • The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago offers 50 percent off admission only, and the admission benefit is limited to 2 adults and up to 4 children in the household.
ROAM

Sustainer and Donor Level memberships ($250 and above) receive admission benefits at 200+ additional museums, thanks to ROAM (Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums). ROAM gives you access to world-class museums of all sizes and types, including art, history, cultural centers, and more.

Through the ROAM program, you’ll receive

  • General admission for two guests
  • Member discounts in stores and restaurants

Some venues also offer

  • Access to members-only events
  • Member pricing for special events and exhibitions

Before You Travel
  • Review the admittance policy of the venue that you plan to visit. Call the venue ahead of your visit to confirm your admission benefits.
  • Bring your digital membership card. For instructions on how to add your membership card to your digital wallet, click here.
  • Pack your ID (or other proof of residence). Some venues request proof of residence to confirm benefits.
