Kohl's Thank You Thursdays (KTYT) at MPM are back!

kids looking through glassKTYT, when individuals and families (excluding groups) receive FREE access to the permanent exhibits at MPM, will begin again on March 18! Reservations open on March 11. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, your visit will look differently than normal; be sure to review our below policies and ticketing information carefully. We can’t wait to welcome you back! 

Beginning in April 2021, first Thursdays as free days will resume.

Visitor Policies*

clockTiming is Everything
Tickets are limited to meet a reduced visitor capacity, so advanced online or phone reservations are strongly recommended and can be made one week in advance. Walk-up tickets are not guaranteed. Visitors cannot be admitted to the Museum if all tickets for a timeslot have been reserved.

For the safety of the community and our staff, a mask is required to be worn by all visitors ages three and over, at all times and with no exceptions, per the City of Milwaukee ordinance.

All visitors* must enter through MPM’s main entrance on Wells Street and during the 45-minute entry window indicated on their ticket.

In order to maintain proper distancing during your visit, one-way paths have been created through each floor of the Museum, and certain exhibits are temporarily closed. Please follow these routes as you enjoy the exhibits.

Please maintain six-foot social distancing between family groups during your visit. Only one family group will be allowed per elevator at a time, which may increase wait times.

Please take advantage of the hand sanitizer stations throughout the Museum and avoid touching surfaces.

All visitors must exit through the MacArthur Square parking structure exit in order to avoid cross-traffic patterns.

Additional Reminders
  • No food is allowed in MPM at this time; bottled water only. 
  • Lockers and strollers are currently not available for rent.
  • Please note parking is not available on Wells Street.


Admission is free, but we strongly recommend a timeslot be reserved in advance. Walk-up tickets are not guaranteed.

Reservations will be available beginning March 11.
