Go south on I-43. Take the Highland Ave exit ramp. Turn left onto State St. Turn right on James Lovell St. Parking structure will be on your immediate right.
From the South
Go north on I-94/43. Take Exit 72A toward Michigan St./10th St. Continue straight on 10th street. Turn right onto Wells St. Turn left onto James Lovell St. Parking structure will be on your left.
From the West
Go east on I-94. Go past exits for Green Bay and Chicago. Exit 1H James Lovell St. Veer left on to James Lovell St. Go north 3 blocks. Parking structure will be on your left.
Wisconsin Travel Advisory
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will rehabilitate several structures over I-43 near Marquette Interchange starting Monday, March 29. The Kilbourn Tunnels (I-43 northbound exit to Kilbourn Ave and I-43 northbound entrance ramp from Kilbourn Ave) will be fully closed on March 29 thru late July. A detour will direct motorists to utilize nearby McKinley Avenue and 6th Street. Click here for details.
There are metered spaces available on most downtown streets. Meters are free on Sundays.
There are also several municipal lots near MPM, including MacArthur Square parking structure which is adjacent to the Museum and is accessible via James Lovell Street. The parking structure includes an entrance to the Museum on the Ground level, eliminating the need to walk outside. Members receive a discount when visiting the Museum (this $5 flat-rate is for MPM members only -- get your ticket validated at Member Services).

Bus / Motor Coach Parking
Bus and motor coach parking is located on the lakefront on Lincoln Memorial Dr. From our location, take Wells Street east to the lake.
Access by Amtrak and Greyhound Bus
The Museum is located just a little more than a half-mile from the Milwaukee Intermodal Station, the city hub for Amtrak, Greyhound and other long-distance bus services. Access by Milwaukee County Transit System
The Museum is at the intersection of West Well Street and North James Lovell Street (7th Street). Several buses also stop a block or two from the Museum on Wisconsin Avenue, which is a block south of West Wells Street. If riding on Wisconsin Avenue, get off at the stop nearest North James Lovell Street (7th Street).
