Wisconsin Wonders: Community Leadership
We wish to recognize and thank all of our volunteer leaders–on the MPM Board, Board Committees, and Campaign Cabinet–for their commitment to our future.
Ecosystems & Biodiversity: Virtual Programs & Digital Resources
Understanding our natural world is both exciting and essential.
Exploring the rich variety of plants and animals and how they are interconnected opens up opportunities to understand our own role in the natural world. Our virtual education resources are designed to lead teachers and students to a more thorough understanding of the critical role ecosystems and biodiversity in both our backyards and beyond.
Samson
For more than 30 years, the Milwaukee County Zoo was home to one of our city’s most famous residents -- a massive male gorilla named Samson.
A silverback (adult male with silver-gray hair on back and shoulders), Samson was noted for banging on the windows and steel door of his enclosure to get visitors' attention.
Decline, Decay, & Death of the Universe
Celebrate the Halloween season at MPM with a double dose of death!
Hear causes, practices, beliefs, and unexpected stories of death from different cultures around the world and through history during our condensed version of the MPM Exposed: Decline, Decay, & Death tour. Plus, drop by the Dome Theater for a delightful show all about space death. See how the Earth will slowly incinerate about a billion years from now.
