In the spirit of MPM’s A Moveable Feast progressive dinner fundraiser, Milwaukee chefs and wine experts curated videos.
Habitats range from the Wisconsin Woodlands to the Northeast forests and Florida mangroves, to Southwest deserts and the Northwest coast. Native American cultures, both contemporary and past, are featured among these habitats, subtly making the connection between people and their environment.
MPM has had a long and illustrious history, but much of it has focused on the local men who were instrumental in its creation. This presentation by Dawn Scher Thomae, Curator of Anthropology Collections, will highlight some of the many trailblazing women who helped to build our world-renowned Museum and collections.

The Daniel M. Soref Planetarium is Wisconsin's largest and most modern planetarium, located at the Milwaukee Public Museum in the same theater as the IMAX®!
The Future Museum's construction manager Mortenson took over the site on June 10 to begin the four-month-long process of driving 523 steel beams, called piles, into the ground. These piles will anchor the building and establish the deep foundations.
There were both games of dexterity and games of chance, and betting was also customary. In addition, there were games for children. Later, modern cards and card games were adopted from Whites. Games were played by men, by women, and by the children, but only rarely did the two sexes, as adults, play together.
ALL visitors* (excluding groups) receive FREE access to the permanent exhibits of MPM on the first Thursday of every month during Kohl's Thank You Thursday.
*Children must be accompanied by an adult to receive free admission.
