Exhibit Deinstallations

There's still plenty to see at Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) through the end of 2026; the majority of exhibits are just as you remember them.

But ahead of the Museum's move to the new Nature & Culture Museum of Wisconsin, some exhibits or items must be taken off display prior to MPM closing on January 3, 2027, to prepare them for display in the new building.

Below is a list of notable/prominent objects and dioramas that have been deinstalled in 2026:

First Floor
  • Torosaurus skeleton
  • Ice Age bestiary fossils
  • Silurian Reef diorama
  • Haida canoe
  • Howler monkey in Rainforest
Second Floor
  • Beaver Habitat diorama
Third Floor
  • Ancient Egyptian mummified individuals and coffins
  • Jeweled elephant figurine
  • Cheetah
Third Floor Mezzanine
