Transport yourself to a sensory wonderland.Stroll through a lush, tropical garden. Hear the murmur of a cascading waterfall and the soothing sounds of tranquil music. Watch as exotic butterflies emerge from their chrysalises and sip nectar right before your eyes.
This magical atmosphere, filled with swirls of brilliant color and fanciful patterns of butterflies in flight, can only be found in the Museum's Puelicher Butterfly Wing.
Join us for a unique experience in Gromme Hall. These interactive, inquiry-based programs use guided presentations facilitated by museum experts to enable students’ use of critical thinking. Educators share little-known facts and “secrets” of artifacts within MPM’s collections, connecting them to the people, places and issues of today. Following the program we provide materials that support an open inquiry activity for select areas on the exhibit floors.
"A good friend of mine / Follows the stars,
Venus and Mars are alright tonight”
~ Paul McCartney, British Singer
“For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.”
~ Vincent Van Gogh, Dutch Artist
